“A Patch of Color” Learn to Paint on Fabric

$5.00

Famous Harlem Artist, Aleathia Brown will teach you how to paint on sustainable fibers CUT from home. YOU will be cutting a small rectangular primed and painted swatch of fabric.  These can come from a cotton button down shirt, an old bed sheet or some unused denim. By repurposing we make art sustainable on a small wearable frame-worthy miniature fabric.

With a whimsical silhouette and 3 colors that tell a beginning, middle and end visual story, participants will make a wearable art with purpose. You can flow in an abstract color-filled way.

The patch that YOU create will have color and pizzazz and a silhouette or two. We will use acrylic screen paint so that each patch is a washable, wearable, frame-worthy miniature masterpiece welcoming creatives or non-artists.
