“Invest in your skin, because it’s going to be with you for a really long time.” – Linden Tyler.

This quote has always resonated with Eunice Charles, the founder of Natralee, a body care company straddling the intersection of sustainability and clean beauty.

American women put an average of 168 chemicals on their skin each day— and while many pose little risk, the Environmental Working Group notes that “exposure to some has been linked to serious health problems, including cancer.”

“Some synthetic products are great, some are wonderful,” Eunice explains, but “some can cause harm.”

Because cosmetics and personal care items are a few of the least-regulated consumer products, it can be hard to keep up with the number of chemicals that we expose our skin to on a daily basis. Sometimes, it seems like it is impossible to “have it all,” so to speak— to find products that are not only effective, but good for you.

When Eunice began creating her own skincare products, she felt like she had a product that supported her holistic lifestyle that she could trust. She wanted to give that gift of an ethical, effective, all-natural product to more people— hence, Natralee.

“This isn’t just about making money, or just about skincare,” Euince tells us. “Natralee is a holistic approach to life— promoting not just healthy skin, but a healthy planet as well.”

Just like we only get one body, we only get one planet. Natralee products are a triple-trustworthy whammy, not only good for your skin and chemical-free, but also good for the Earth. “The mark I want Natralee to leave behind is that you can have it all,” says Eunice.

Using the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals for 2030 as a guide, all Natralee products are sustainably sourced from a solar-powered facility, and transported via carbon-neutral shipping.

“We can have great skincare products that are manufactured in a way that’s sustainable, not only for the company but also for the broader community,” Eunice continues. “I want to set the standard of how we can be really thoughtful as a business, and still be impactful with the product.”

Natralee products have certainly had an impact.  A community of followers has come to trust and love Natralee’s organic body butters just as much as Eunice does.

“The thing I am most proud of is the community,” Eunice says. “They supported me through last year.”

Before 2020, most of Natralee’s business came from in-person sales. When the pandemic hit, they had to shift all of their business online. Still, like a band of superheroes sensing danger, the Natralee community gathered, and they helped Eunice achieve an incredible accomplishment: despite the pandemic-year, Eunice beams, “we were able to generate the same amount of revenue that we did the previous year.”

Since launching, one of Natralee’s most popular products has been the Bloom Body Butter. Handmade with organic mango butter and a blend of essential oils, the moisturizer has a light, warm floral scent, and is especially nourishing on sensitive skin.
