Martin Luther King Day 2022 is an annual federal American holiday that celebrates the birthday of Martin Luther King Jr. (January 15). It celebrates the life and achievements of this influential American civil rights leader.  Its traditions are rooted in the idea of promoting equal rights for all Americans, regardless of their background. 2022 Calendar

Many schools mark the day by teaching students about the work of Martin Luther King and the Civil Rights movement against racial segregation and racism.

Today, Martin Luther King Day has become a day of service in communities throughout the country. If you would like to participate and be covid safe too, here are some different, nationwide websites with volunteer resources for all ages, skills, interests and professions!
