Sharmila Udiavar will teach you all the basic movements of Bollywood Dance. The dance movements involve neck, shoulder, arm, and hip rotations and different leg movements. Bollywood dance includes elements of semi-classical Indian dance where different expressions with finger mudras (finger movements) that reflect inner beauty and outer joy, with a sequence that flows into the rhythm of Bollywood music. No experience is necessary. Impress your friends next time you are on the dance floor with Your Bollywood Moves!

Sharmila will answer all your questions in this interactive workshop.

About The Program Leader

As a long-term meditator and practitioner of yoga and dance with a passion for world travel, Sharmila brings a unique, grounded approach to her teaching work internationally. She has been teaching yoga and meditation for over 20 years and trains volunteers and teachers through inspirational programs around the world. Sharmila is a professional artist and dancer, and an expert in Bollywood, Indian folk, and Indian classical dance. She works from a space of joy and peace with the intention to inspire that same feeling within her audience.
